Abstract

The doctoral project ‘Optimization Enhancements and Uncertainty Considerations in Business Planning’ aims to identify mathematical models and solution methods for optimization in corporate planning under uncertainty and to find a way to better support strategic decisions. The data and optimization models developed should make it possible to visualize and evaluate decision options according to the uncertain data situation. The focus of the work is on application programs for crossindustry cost-oriented planning on several planning levels. In order to incorporate individual system
behavior and uncertainty at the same time coupled optimization and simulation approaches are investigated.
